I sit here in the morning having my coffee and a piece of brownies, and I’m still not sure if I want to go public with this recipe… It took me a while until I found the right consistency of the dough, the right baking time and so on. It is probably dependent on my baking skills – I have few recipes which I use, and these are practised to perfection, but I’m not the Sweets Goddess… but I still try. This recipe is a masterpiece of “my bakery”! I don’t know one person which didn’t ask for this recipe after having my brownies (although there are so many of them). I avoid giving it away for some time, but since 2 of my friends have it already, and I know that they promised to some people that this will appear on pb&co. There is nothing left! …Literally… as you can see on the picture below.
And this is what you need:
- 200 gr of bitter chocolate (2 bars each 100 gr)
- 200 gr unsalted butter
- 6 eggs
- 300 gr brown sugar
- 100 gr flower
- 50 gr finely chopped walnuts
And this is how I do it:
Cut the butter and chocolate into smaller pieces and let it melt it in a water bath. Put on a side to cool down. Put eggs into a big bowl and mix it. Keep adding slowly sugar and flower. Mix in the butter-choco mixture. At the end add walnuts and stir all together.
Put the brownies dough into a baking pan and place it in preheated oven (200°C). Bake for 25 minutes. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down. Put it upside down and cut it into smaller pieces. If you like to, you can sprinkle it with icing sugar.
If your baking skills need to be practised, this is a very good start! And who doesn’t like chocolate brownies from time to time?
So bake it! Eat it! And don’t forget to let me know how you liked it!
