Lately we went to a great exibition called “ImEx”, which put together impressionism and expressionsm and shows the differences and inspirations of the artists of both styles. I really loved it. 170 paintings of many great artists at one place! What do you need more?! What I found interesting was that you can easily compare them with each other and see the change in the way of life style, painting and how they deal with the subjects.
And that is how I get inspired. Walking around, watching the paintings celebrating this moment…… and then it comes!! I can not wait until I’ll take a brush in my hand and start to “form the colours” myself! So now quickly, I have to do “the home run”. The muse will not stay there for ever!!! And this time was exactly the same. We enjoyed the exhibition, had lunch, talked about everything and nothing and went home. The muse was still there. Oh what a joy!!! I’ll get up in the morning and the first thing I’ll do –after geting up, having my lemon-water, having breakfast, doing sport – yes I do do sport 6 times/week – taking a shower, checking my e-mails – I’ll put the canvas on the easel, take out all paints and paint! Ha! Easy peasy!!!
So just like I said: I got up, I did the whole morning routine, I looked at the easel… and then I realized that this f…… b…. muse is gone!!! What the hell is she thinking?! She can not just come and go whenever she wants!!! It took her a while until she found the way to my atelier. But ok, since 3 days her highness the muse is there and we are trying to work together on this beauty. And because it is not ready yet, today I show you just a small sneak pic of “our” team work :-P.
Stay tuned for more, Dagny.
